## How the Migration Runs

### Free assessment

We look at both accounts with you: plans, regions, workspaces and what each team needs to keep.

### Scan and mapping

The engine reads every workspace and board and checks its counts against monday.com’s own item counts. You approve how boards and people map to the new account.

### Test run

We move the boards you pick into the new account and you check them, before anything else moves.

### Full move

Everything in scope is copied while your team keeps working in the old account. Changes made there during the move are copied too.

### Verify and hand over

Every object is checked against the old account; problems found are retried and checked again. We rebuild automations, views, forms and integrations, and agree the switch-over with you.

## When You May Not Need Us

Moving is not always the answer. You may not need us if:

-   Your contract or policy only needs new data stored in the EU. Opening an EU account for new work, and leaving the old account read-only, can be enough.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Can monday.com move my account from the US to the EU?

monday.com's Cross Account Copier does not copy between US and EU servers. Its Workspace Template method can copy a workspace's Main boards and dashboards to an account in another region, but people assigned in People columns are not transferred.

### Do comments and files move?

Yes. Comments are copied into each item's updates, and files into their Files columns. Comments on archived or deleted items are skipped, and the report lists each one with the reason.

### What cannot be moved?

monday.com's API can't create automations or most views, and can't write the activity log, so automations, views, forms and integrations are rebuilt by hand. Archived items can't be changed, so they stay behind unless you restore them first. Color picker values arrive as text.

### How long does it take?

It depends on how many boards and items you have and on the API budget of both accounts, which monday.com sets per account. The dates are fixed in your quote after the free assessment.

### How much does it cost?

It depends on your boards, items, files and automations. The assessment is free and ends with a fixed quote.
