## Frequently Asked Questions

### Can I move Microsoft Project to monday.com myself?

monday.com has no built-in Microsoft Project or Planner import. Both can export to Excel, and the file can be imported as a spreadsheet, but summary tasks, subtasks and dependencies arrive as flat rows.

### Do comments and attachments move?

Planner's Excel export lists tasks with their bucket, status, dates, assignees, priority, labels and description; comments are not part of it. Microsoft Project's export wizard maps tasks, resources and assignments. Files attached in Planner are linked from SharePoint, and we keep those links.

### What happens to our automations, views and forms?

No export carries them. We list each one in the assessment and rebuild the ones you still need as monday.com automations, views, forms and dashboards.

### What cannot be moved?

Planner comments: Not part of Planner's Excel export. We check them in your free assessment. Change history (who changed what, and when): An import can't write monday.com's activity log; it starts on the day of the move. Everything else in the table above either moves or is rebuilt in monday.com.

### How long does it take?
