## Why Teams Move from Wrike to monday.com

Teams usually look at monday.com when Wrike feels heavier than the work needs: when they want something more people pick up without training, with boards and dashboards they can change themselves.

Our [Wrike vs monday.com comparison](https://www.taskrhino.ca/en-us/project-management-software/wrike-vs-monday/) goes through the differences.

## What Moves, What We Rebuild, What Cannot Move

Data moves through Wrike's exports and API; customizations such as automations, views and forms are rebuilt in monday.com.

## How the Migration Runs

Every step is agreed with you before the next one starts.

### Free assessment

We look at your Wrike projects and tasks, item counts, files and automations, and send a fixed quote with the list of what moves, what we rebuild and what cannot move.

### Data map

Each part of Wrike becomes a monday.com board, group, item or column of the right type. You sign off the map, including what to leave behind.

### Test migration

We move a sample with its comments and files, and you check it in monday.com.

### Full migration and rebuild

We move everything in scope, link the items, and rebuild your automations, views and forms in monday.com.

### Checks and handover

We compare item counts board by board, walk your team through the new boards, and hand the export files over to you.

## When Wrike Is Still the Right Call

Moving is not always the answer. Stay on Wrike, or plan the move carefully, if:

- You are on a Wrike plan without account backup and need every comment and attachment: check what your plan can export before you set a date.
- You have a few small projects and tasks with no comments or files you need to keep. A spreadsheet import is enough.

### Doing it yourself, compared

The options monday.com gives you, set against a full migration. Each fact comes from the sources below.

| | Spreadsheet import (CSV or Excel) | TaskRhino migration |
| --- | --- | --- |
| What comes across | Wrike's Excel export: no descriptions, comments or attachments | Every field, plus descriptions, comments and attachments from the account backup |
| Subtasks | Arrive as items | Subitems under their task |
| Size | Up to 8,000 rows into a new board | Planned per board before the move |
| Blueprints, forms and rules | Not moved | Rebuilt in monday.com |

The assessment tells you which of these apply before you commit.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Can I move Wrike to monday.com myself?

monday.com has no built-in Wrike import. Wrike's Excel export, which every Wrike plan has, can be imported as a spreadsheet, but it leaves out descriptions, comments and attachments.

### Do comments and attachments move?

Wrike's Excel export leaves them out. Wrike's account backup (Business plan and above) holds descriptions, comments and attachment files, and its BI export holds comments and attachment details. We use what your plan can export and copy comments into updates and files into a Files column.

### What happens to our automations, views and forms?

No export carries them. We list each one in the assessment and rebuild the ones you still need as monday.com automations, views, forms and dashboards.

### What cannot be moved?

Change history (who changed what, and when): An import can't write monday.com's activity log; it starts on the day of the move. Everything else in the table above either moves or is rebuilt in monday.com.

### How long does it take?

It depends on how many projects and tasks and items you have, how many files, and how much needs rebuilding. The dates are fixed in your quote after the free assessment.

### How much does it cost?

It depends on your projects and tasks, item counts, files and automations. The assessment is free and ends with a fixed quote.
