**Key takeaways**

- On WorkForms, URL-parameter pre-fill and branding removal need Pro; account pre-fill, response editing and password protection need Enterprise.
- Conditional logic has no stated plan limit, but it combines rules with OR only and triggers on single select, multi select or true/false answers.
- Enterprise response editing stops at 10 edits per submission for Viewers, Guests and external submitters.
- BoardBridge forms pre-fill from board data, support AND/OR conditions with 5 comparison operators, and carry no monday.com branding on any plan.
- Each BoardBridge form link is tied to one item, so every re-submission updates that item, with no edit cap.

If you’re on monday.com Standard or Pro and wondering why your forms feel half-built, the answer is simple: monday.com gates several of its most useful form features behind higher plans. Pre-fill from URL parameters and removing monday.com branding need Pro; pre-fill from the respondent’s account, response editing and password protection need Enterprise. Conditional logic has no stated plan limit, but it only supports OR rules.

You don’t need an Enterprise licence to get them. There’s a better way.

This post breaks down exactly which monday.com [form features](https://www.taskrhino.ca/monday-com-forms/features-by-plan/) are plan-gated, why that matters for your workflow, and how **BoardBridge — Form & Workflow Automation for monday.com** delivers all three on any plan, without forcing you to upgrade.

## What monday.com Gates Behind Enterprise (and Pro)

Here’s the official breakdown from [monday.com’s WorkForms documentation](https://support.monday.com/hc/en-us/articles/11040473466258-WorkForms-settings-and-permissions). If you’re on Standard or Pro, this is the wall you’re hitting:

| Feature | Standard | Pro | Enterprise |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| **Conditional logic** (OR rules only) | No plan limit stated | No plan limit stated | No plan limit stated |
| **Account-level pre-fill** | ✗ | ✗ | ✓ |
| **URL parameter pre-fill** | ✗ | ✓ | ✓ |
| **Response editing** | ✗ | ✗ | ✓ |
| **Remove monday.com branding** | ✗ | ✓ | ✓ |
| **Password-protected forms** | ✗ | ✗ | ✓ |

Nested conditional questions arrived in May 2022, with no plan restriction listed in monday.com’s help article ([monday.com Help Center](https://support.monday.com/hc/en-us/articles/27989721912722-Using-conditional-logic-in-WorkForms)).

That context matters, because this isn’t a case of features being “in development.” These are deliberate plan gates. The fix isn’t to wait — it’s to use a tool that doesn’t have the same restrictions. Volume brings its own limits on every plan: see where [WorkForms breaks at scale](https://www.taskrhino.ca/monday-com-forms/workforms-at-scale/).

## Pre-Fill: The Feature That Saves Respondents From Re-Typing Everything

Definition

**Pre-fill:** a form that opens with fields already filled from existing data, so the respondent only changes what’s new.

**What it does:** When someone opens a form, [fields are automatically populated](https://www.taskrhino.ca/monday-com-forms/pre-fill-without-enterprise/) with data that already exists — from the respondent’s monday.com account, from URL parameters, or (with BoardBridge) from your board. A vendor who already submitted their contact details last month sees those details pre-filled. They update only what’s changed.

**What monday.com restricts:**

- **Account-level pre-fill** (fills fields from the signed-in respondent’s monday.com account details, not from board data) — **Enterprise only** ([monday.com Help Center](https://support.monday.com/hc/en-us/articles/26808283008146-WorkForms-pre-fill-and-form-tags-settings))
- **URL parameter pre-fill** (you manually add values to the URL to pre-fill specific fields) — **Pro and Enterprise only**
- **Only some field types:** Even on Enterprise, URL parameter pre-fill works only for the question types monday.com lists, such as text, multi select and Country (a 2-letter code) ([monday.com Help Center](https://support.monday.com/hc/en-us/articles/26808283008146-WorkForms-pre-fill-and-form-tags-settings)).
- Pre-fill via URL also exposes data in the browser address bar and history — a security concern for forms that handle sensitive information.

TaskRhino tip

Don’t use URL pre-fill for sensitive data: the values show in the address bar and the browser history.

**What this means in practice:** If you’re on Standard, your respondents re-type everything, every time. If you’re on Pro, you can hack together URL parameters, but you’re limited to the supported question types and you’re putting values in plain sight in the URL. Neither is a clean solution.

**How BoardBridge handles it:**

When someone opens a BoardBridge form with an item ID in the link, the server reads existing column values from monday.com’s API and returns them with the form — pre-filled and ready. The respondent sees their current data. They update what’s changed, submit, and the monday.com item updates in place.

This works across BoardBridge’s field types, including text, email, phone, number, date, dropdown and location. No Enterprise plan required. No data in the URL. It works the same for a Standard customer as it does for an Enterprise customer.

**Stop Creating Duplicates**

BoardBridge forms update existing items — no Enterprise plan, no workarounds, no duplicates.

## Conditional Logic: The Feature That Hides Questions Nobody Should See

**What it does:** [Show or hide form fields](https://www.taskrhino.ca/monday-com-forms/show-hide-fields/) based on how someone answered a previous question. Ask “What type of event is this?” and if they answer “Internal,” skip the client-facing questions entirely. Only show the fields that are relevant to each respondent.

**What monday.com restricts:**

WorkForms has had nested conditional questions since May 2022, and monday.com’s help article lists no plan restriction ([monday.com Help Center](https://support.monday.com/hc/en-us/articles/27989721912722-Using-conditional-logic-in-WorkForms)). The catch is what it can do:

- Follow-up questions can only be triggered by single select, multi select or true/false answers
- No compound conditions (rules combine with OR only; no “IF A = X AND B = Y, THEN show question 3”)
- Board columns marked required can’t be hidden by conditional logic
- No conditions that reference live board data

Conditional logic now covers the simple case (show questions based on one answer) but still can’t combine conditions with AND.

**How BoardBridge handles it:**

BoardBridge’s conditional logic runs at the field level — show or hide individual questions. It supports:

- **5 comparison operators:** equals, not equals, contains, is empty, is not empty
- **AND / OR logic per field:** All conditions must be true (AND), or any one condition being true is enough (OR)
- **Hidden required fields are ignored:** If a required field is hidden by a condition, it doesn’t block submission. The validation check tests visibility first — hidden fields are skipped entirely.
- **Works on any monday.com plan:** Standard, Pro, Enterprise — same feature, same capability

For example, take a form for event logistics. If the “Event Type” dropdown is “Show,” show the A/V section. If it’s “Corporate,” show the catering section. If it’s “Internal,” skip both. That branching logic is configured once in the BoardBridge form builder and works consistently every time, for every respondent.

## Custom Branding: The Feature That Makes Your Forms Look Professional

**What it does:** Remove monday.com’s logo and “Powered by monday.com” footer from your forms. Replace them with your own logo, colours, and identity. Your form looks like *your* form — not a monday.com product.

**What monday.com restricts:**

Removing the monday.com branding from WorkForms requires **Pro or Enterprise** ([monday.com Help Center](https://support.monday.com/hc/en-us/articles/11040473466258-WorkForms-settings-and-permissions)). Standard plan forms always display monday.com’s branding. There’s no override, no workaround, no “just pay a little more” option at the Standard tier.

For teams sharing intake forms with clients, vendors, or external contacts, that matters. A form that says “Powered by monday.com” is a form that signals you’re sharing your internal tooling. For a lot of client-facing workflows, that’s not the impression you want to make.

Even on Pro, your options are limited: you can remove the monday.com branding, but forms still live on monday.com’s domain. There’s no custom domain support at any plan level.

**How BoardBridge handles it:**

Every BoardBridge form supports full [white-label branding](https://www.taskrhino.ca/monday-com-forms/custom-branding/) at no extra tier requirement:

- **Your logo** — upload any image, it appears at the top of the form
- **Your banner image** — add a full-width header image to match your visual identity
- **Your primary colour** — set the theme colour for buttons, progress indicators, and interactive elements
- **Zero monday.com branding** — no logo, no “Powered by monday.com,” no monday.com domain in the URL

Forms live on BoardBridge’s domain, entirely outside monday.com’s infrastructure. If you’re sending forms to clients, they see your brand — not your project management software vendor’s.

## Bonus: Response Editing Without the 10-Edit Cap

Key stat

Enterprise response editing allows 10 edits per submission, and the cap can’t be raised.

This one isn’t in the headline, but it’s worth flagging: monday.com’s response editing is also Enterprise-only, and it comes with a hard limit of 10 edits per submission. After the 10th edit, Viewers, Guests and external submitters can’t edit it through the form again, and even Enterprise customers can’t raise the cap.

BoardBridge forms are built for [re-submission](https://www.taskrhino.ca/monday-com-forms/response-editing-without-enterprise/) by design. Every form has a unique URL tied to a specific monday.com item. Anyone with that link can re-submit as many times as needed — each submission updates the item in place. There’s no edit counter, no lock-out, no cap.

For workflows where forms are used iteratively — a vendor updating travel details across multiple conversations, or a client refining event specifications over several weeks — that matters more than it might initially seem.

## The Full Picture: monday.com Plan vs. BoardBridge

Here’s how the features stack up:

| Feature | monday.com Standard | monday.com Pro | monday.com Enterprise | BoardBridge |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Conditional logic (question-level) | ✓ OR only | ✓ OR only | ✓ OR only | ✓ |
| AND/OR compound conditions | ✗ | ✗ | ✗ | ✓ |
| Pre-fill from board data | ✗ | ✗ | ✗ (account details and URL parameters only) | ✓ |
| Remove platform branding | ✗ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Custom logo + colours | ✓ Partial | ✓ Partial | ✓ Partial | ✓ Full |
| Unlimited response editing | ✗ | ✗ | ✗ (10-edit cap) | ✓ No cap |
| Forms update existing items | ✗ | ✗ | ✗ (Enterprise “edit” is limited) | ✓ Core feature |
| Zero automation quota used | N/A | N/A | N/A | ✓ Runs outside monday.com |

The last two rows in that table reflect a broader architectural difference: [WorkForms creates new items](https://www.taskrhino.ca/monday-com-forms/creating-workforms/). BoardBridge forms [update existing ones](https://www.taskrhino.ca/monday-com-forms/update-existing-items/). That distinction matters for any workflow where you need a respondent to fill in or update information about something that already exists — a project, a booking, a client record, or an event.

## An Example Scenario: Event Logistics Without an Enterprise Upgrade

Here’s how the pieces fit for an event production team on monday.com Standard or Pro.

Take an event management company that manages 60+ shows per year. For each show, they need vendors to fill in logistics details (catering, A/V, ground transport), clients to confirm event specs (dates, guest counts, formats), and internal teams to track completion status across boards.

With native WorkForms (read [our monday.com forms guide](https://www.taskrhino.ca/monday-com-forms/)), they hadn’t set up [conditional logic](https://www.taskrhino.ca/monday-com-forms/conditional-logic-without-enterprise/) — every vendor saw every question, including the ones that only applied to A/V suppliers. They had no pre-fill — every time a returning vendor opened a form, they re-typed their contact details from scratch. Their forms carried monday.com branding, which felt off for a client-facing intake process. And every submission created a new item instead of updating the one that already existed for that show.

With BoardBridge, each vendor gets a unique form link tied to their specific item on the logistics board. The form loads with their existing data pre-filled. Conditional logic hides the A/V section for catering suppliers and vice versa. The form carries the company’s logo and colours. When they submit, the existing item updates — no duplicates, no manual merging.

All of this works on a Pro plan. No upgrade required.
